- Programming works written by composers of diverse backgrounds with an emphasis on women, people of color, and living composers.
- Collaborating with artists and organizations whose projects promote themes of social justice.
- Performing in neighborhoods and communities that do not have regularly scheduled classical music performances.
- Writing arrangements of traditional Black American music: Spirituals, Blues, Jazz, R+B, etc. with the goal of showcasing and acknowledging the rich tradition of this music, where it came from, and its creators.
- Teaching students living in traditionally underserved neighborhoods.
- Mentoring students of color with aspirations of achieving musical success at the highest level.
